English serves as the global language of communication. In a vibrant metropolis like Hong Kong, proficiency in English undoubtedly provides young people with a competitive edge in both academic and professional contexts. To adequately prepare students for higher education and enhanced career opportunities, the College adopts English as the major medium of instruction, with the exception of Citizenship, Economics and Society, Religious Education, and Physical Education. The College believes that fostering students into responsible citizens is just as crucial as enhancing their language skills. Therefore, Citizenship, Economics and Society is conducted in the mother tongue to best support students' development and provide a seamless transition to Citizenship and Social Development in the senior form.

School-based Support Measures
The College implements comprehensive support measures to foster a dynamic English learning environment and prepare students for future success.
For newly admitted students, a summer bridging program helps them adapt to English-medium instruction through activities like phonics games and introductory lessons in new subjects. This is complemented by the "Values in Action" curriculum and note-taking workshops that build self-regulated learning habits. Students also engage in interdisciplinary projects, such as exploring sustainability in Tai Po and participating in STEAM challenges.
Catering to learner diversity is a key priority. Junior students needing extra help benefit from small split classes, while senior forms utilize an AI writing platform for self-paced practice. After-school remedial classes are available for all year levels. To nurture talent, high-achievers are offered enrichment programs like public speaking workshops and an MC Team, and are encouraged to represent the College in various competitions.
A rich English atmosphere is cultivated campus-wide. The College promotes reading through book sharing, while the English Society and clubs for debate and drama organize engaging activities, highlighted by an annual English Week. To ensure consistent exposure, assemblies are conducted in English, and Fridays are designated as "English Speaking Day."
Finally, students are equipped for future challenges through career and university interview workshops. The College also offers an overseas immersion programme, including a study tour to Australia, for students to gain authentic cultural insights and real-world language practice.
