As part of the effort to build a professional learning community, Valtorta College carried out a series of school-based professional programmes conducive to professional sharing, collaboration, networking with various stakeholders in educational bodies and organisations.

Our school manager, Ms. Lau Fung Yi Lucia, was invited to conduct a seminar for school middle managers on (a) The role of a Panel Head, (b) The role of Middle Manager and (c) Value-addedness on 8th November 2019.

To encourage teachers to take up leadership roles, teachers would take the initiative to share matters pertaining to learning and teaching in the Staff Professional Development Session in General Staff Meetings.

The First Staff Development Day on “Crisis Management in School” & “Healthy Life — Pre-habilitation for teachers” was successfully held on 31st October 2019.

 

 

Visit of Elegantia College

The Principal and teachers of Elegantia College visited VC on 8th January 2020 for professional interflow on the Key Learning Area of Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) Education.

 

Visit of Shun Lee Catholic Secondary School

Science teachers of Shun Lee Catholic Secondary School visited VC on 22nd January 2020 for professional interflow on the Key Learning Area of Science and STEM Education.

 

It is expected that the above initiatives can facilitate professional interflow and exchanges of ideas among VC teachers and various stakeholders for building a professional learning community.
