Stories on Stage Competition

This year, Valtortans were able to beat all but two of 55 teams to secure 3^rd place in the Stories on Stage English drama competition. The competition is a radio drama that requires students to adapt a short story, turn it into a script and then perform it.  After selecting the short story, ‘The Gift of the Magi’, the team set about changing and shaping the text into a script appropriate for an audio-only performance.  Through making good use of sounds to add realism to the final product, and to give a sense of space and scale, students were able to deliver their creative rendition of the original text in a way that earned them a place on the podium.  Having won 1^st place in the year previous, it could be said that Valtorta College has become a force to be reckoned with.  Other schools beware!
