The Valtorta College English Debating Team Gets the 1st Runner-Up in the Hong Kong Secondary Schools Debating Competition 2023-2024 Term 2 Final HKI & NT Junior Division 1

Last term, VC’s English debating team went up against St. Joseph’s College in the term 2 finals. Their motion was, ‘This house would cap the number of tourists that may visit cultural and natural heritage sites’. Claims were made, counters were thrown, and margins were tight. Indeed, the decision to award St. Joseph’s the match was down to a singular point. In any case, while total victory escaped their grasp, our team was able to secure the 1st Runner-Up in the Hong Kong Secondary Schools Debating Competition 2023-2024 Term 2 Final HKI & NT Junior Division 1. Well done to Chow Pui Han, Hayley; Hang Yuet Ching, Cherry, and Chan Cheuk Long, Hayden for their exemplary performance.
