Title: The Rescuer
Artwork Statement:
The term "rescuer" refers to those in ancient China who helped drowning persons, aligning with the law's role in ensuring public safety. In the character design of "The Rescuer," I incorporated elements representing China and Hong Kong: stars and the Bauhinia flower. The red rope connects the stars and the Bauhinia like blood vessels, symbolizing the inseparability of Hong Kong and China. The character wears a hat adorned with willow branches, symbolizing the idea of "knowing one’s roots," inspired by the drooping nature of willows.
