Scout Orientation Camp

Being a scout could be a lifelong journey. To be well prepared, 14 new-comers have joined us in their first adventure - the annual orientation camp.

Held on the weekend right before Mid-autumn Festival, the 2-day trip was packed with fun and sweat. A total of 28 scouts, aged from 12-15, arrived Pak Sha Wan T.W.C Sea Activity Centre, Sai Kung, and joined together for the coming challenges.

By day, they played games to fight for scores and rewards. Newbies also got to learn about the patrols and leaders. At night, the venture scouts and their leaders held a cheerful Mid-Autumn Festival Gala as a warm welcoming.

The next day, our Group Scout Leader, Mr. Kelvin Cheung held the Scout Own and encouraged the members to pursuit greatness and happiness, and to help other people as they have promised. Lastly the scouts have got a chance to explore the attractions in Sai Kung before they left the camp.

To learn to be more independent, scouts were required to take care of themselves, such as cooking their own dinner and tidying up their dormitories.

Though the camp has ended, their journey of scouting has just begun. May our scouts have the strength and bravery to overcome challenges and pursuit to be the ‘Chief Scout’.
